He has previously worked with the KNVB (Dutch Football Association) developing youth coaching reforms and spent two seasons as a senior coach in the youth set-up of the Dutch Federation, where he managed the Holland U15 and U21 national teams.
"I am very pleased that Andries is joining us. He has a big reputation in the game",- said Arsene Wenger.
Jonker, who joined Wolfsburg in 2012, was assistant coach to Louis van Gaal at FC Barcelona and FC Bayern Munich, where he served as interim Head Coach in the 2010/11 season.

"I look forward to working with him. I would also like to thank Liam for his work which has been outstanding over many years."The appointment of Jonker follows the decision by Liam Brady to step down from his role as head of youth development at Arsenal's Academy. Brady, 57, will help the club and Jonker with the transition in his new role as a club ambassador.
"I am very pleased that Andries is joining us," Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis added. "He has a big reputation in the game and was a key part of the team which developed the structures which are now producing such strong young players in Holland. I look forward to working with him.
